An approach rooted in the circular economy

ALVÉOLAIRE’s environmental commitment arises from a strong principle: designing solutions that fit within a circular economy model.
Thanks to extruded corrugated polypropylene (CPP or CPP), a single-material, durable and 100% recyclable semi-finished product, we are able to develop specific packaging and protection: adapted to requirements, designed to last, to be reused in a loop, then recycled and used again as a material.

Our process neither consumes nor discharges water, runs on decarbonised energy and generates zero net production waste.

In this way, with minimal consumption of resources, we can offer our customers high-performance solutions that make a tangible contribution to a more responsible industrial transition.

The material loop:
a virtuous cycle based on reuse

ALVÉOLAIRE controls the entire life cycle of corrugated polypropylene by placing reuse of material at the heart of its industrial model. Thanks to its grinding and regeneration capacities, production offcuts and end-of-life products returned by our customers are recycled and reintegrated into the manufacturing process.

This controlled material loop extends the material’s life, limits the use of new material and significantly reduces the environmental impact, while guaranteeing the desired technical performances.

Eco-design at the heart of our business

Eco-design guides every stage in the development of our products:

  • Choice of material: lightweight, durable, easy-to-process corrugated polypropylene, a polyolefin that’s easy to recycle ,
  • Responsible production: controlling materials, optimising planning to reduce adjustment and production offcuts (industrial eco-design),
  • Smart design approach: solutions optimised to minimise voids, allow multiple reuses and remain easy to recycle (product eco-design)
  • Controlled end-of-life: grinding, recycling and regeneration for a new lease of life!

Each solution is designed to combine technical performance, durability and reduced environmental impact. Our production approach favours local supply chains, limiting offcuts and continuously optimising resources: in our world, ecological and economic concerns go hand in hand, with sustainable products and jobs sharing the same momentum.

The advantages of Corrugated Polypropylene

Corrugated polypropylene is a unique material, offering a range of technical and environmental properties rarely found in a single product.

Technical properties

  • Lightweight and sturdy
  • High mechanical strength and compressive strength
  • Insensitive to water and humidity
  • Shock-resistant
  • Resistant to chemicals
  • Easy to cut, fold, weld and assemble: the only rigid polymer that can be folded hundreds of times
  • Printable to industrial and screen-printing quality
  • Available in different densities, finishes and colours

Environmental properties

  • 100% recyclable
  • Single material (no multiple, heterogeneous layers, no need for accessories)
  • Reusable over a large number of cycles
  • Washable, durable
  • Compatible with circular production and use

These advantages make CPP a material of choice for the most technical sectors: automotive, logistics, pharmaceuticals, electronics, construction and public works, bottling, etc.

A controlled environmental impact

ALVÉOLAIRE is committed to measuring and reducing its environmental impact.
Our approach includes, in particular:

  • Reduction in carbon footprint since 2015, thanks to our trackers, our progress initiatives and the incorporation of recycled materials
  • Establishment of a carbon audit since 2022
  • Energy optimisation, with a 23% reduction in energy consumption for the same process
  • Responsible management of material through industrial eco-design, procurement policy and developing recycling
  • Reduced raw material loss rate through process control, intelligent planning and materials management
  • Reduced transport footprint through logistics solutions that reconcile this objective with our customers’ operational constraints.

Our ISO 9001 certification, obtained in 2025, is also helping us to structure and strengthen our environmental transition.

We are proud of our involvement in the MORE (MObilised to REcycle) coalition of manufacturers.

Our next step: the Ecovadis rating.
